Senior Accountant, Indigenous Ease Services

About the role

Join MNP’s Indigenous Ease Services team as a Senior Accountant and help deliver high‑quality financial solutions to Indigenous Nations, businesses and entrepreneurs. You will work in a dynamic environment where innovation and purpose drive everyday activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of full‑cycle accounting operations, including transaction processing and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with clients, internal team members and relationship managers to ensure high‑quality engagements.
• Monitor accuracy of financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and publish timely, accurate financial statements.
• Assist with new client engagements, providing required setup information and deliverables.
• Maintain and update charts of accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships while coaching junior team members.
• Travel to client sites as needed.

Required profile

• CPA designation (CAFM designation considered an asset).
• Experience with full‑cycle accounting processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP, PSAS and IFRS.
• Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Adagio, Xyntax, QuickBooks Online or Xero.
