Security Shift Supervisor – Hospital

About the role

Paladin Security is seeking an experienced Security Shift Supervisor to lead security operations at North York General Hospital in Toronto. In this full‑time, on‑site role you will manage a team of security officers, ensure coverage across 12‑hour shifts and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support security personnel during assigned shifts.
• Schedule staff and guarantee full security coverage across the site.
• Conduct regular patrols, facility inspections and respond to incidents, emergencies and complaints.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Train and mentor new security staff, ensuring certifications remain current.
• Recognize strong performance and manage corrective actions when required.
• Collaborate with the Client Service Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
• Ontario G‑Class driver’s licence.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Proof of double COVID‑19 vaccination and completed immunization record.
• Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare security experience.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications or willingness to complete Paladin’s sponsored program.
• Preferred: prior experience as a security supervisor or team lead and post‑secondary education in security, law enforcement or criminology.
