About the role
We are looking for a reliable seasonal greenhouse worker to support plant production at our St. Catharines facility. The role involves a variety of hands‑on tasks to keep crops healthy and the greenhouse clean.
Key responsibilities
- Clean crops, greenhouse floors and work areas.
- Cut, prune, and guide horticultural shoots into optimal positions.
- Remove suckers, water sprouts and weeds manually.
- Plant bulbs, seeds, seedlings and re‑pot plants.
- Mix and prepare soils, apply fertilizers and water plants.
- Report signs of insect or disease damage.
- Level earth to fine‑grade specifications.
- Tie and secure plants as they grow.
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and other plants.
- Transport materials and tools within the greenhouse.
Required profile
- Efficient interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Team‑player attitude.
- Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg.
