Salesforce Business Analyst II (IT)

About the role

The Business Analyst II leads the assessment of client needs to align business initiatives with technology solutions for UBC’s enterprise CRM platform, Salesforce. Working within formal project teams, the analyst supports the ongoing delivery, configuration, testing, and training of Salesforce solutions that impact a broad range of university constituents.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams in an agile environment to support the Salesforce platform and related ecosystems.
• Perform data analysis, design processes, and resolve data‑quality issues.
• Manage new Salesforce releases and roll out new features efficiently.
• Act as the primary liaison between business functional teams and technical teams for application and interface changes.
• Analyze impacts of proposed changes, ensuring consistency with university technical and business architecture.
• Participate in testing, verification, and validation of custom and third‑party software implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less‑experienced analysts and developers.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Professional development in business analysis or related certifications is an asset.
