Sales Team Leader

About the role

COBS Bread is looking for a Sales Team Leader to manage and inspire a small bakery sales team. You will ensure customers enjoy a fresh, high‑quality in‑bakery experience while supporting community initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team, delivering exceptional customer service and building relationships with regular patrons.
• Merchandise products and execute marketing campaigns within the bakery.
• Maintain a clean bakery environment and assist with production tasks, including basic baking.
• Foster a positive, high‑performance culture through teamwork, respect, and coaching.
• Oversee team development, training, performance reviews, and recruitment.
• Participate in local community events and the “End of Day Giving” bread donation program.

Required profile

• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Energetic, bright personality that contributes to a vibrant workplace.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service or hospitality.
• Basic financial management knowledge, including cash handling and banking.
• Proven people‑management experience covering recruitment, retention, staff development, and disciplinary procedures.
