About the role
Okta is seeking a high‑energy Sales Development Representative for its East region, based in Toronto. In this role you will partner with marketing and account executives to generate and qualify new business opportunities for Okta’s cloud‑based identity and security solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and fuel the sales pipeline.
- Respond to and qualify inbound marketing leads efficiently.
- Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within the assigned territory.
- Research and build new and existing accounts, adding contacts and strategic outreach.
- Conduct high‑level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts.
- Evangelize Okta’s solutions and the On‑Demand mode.
- Achieve monthly quotas for qualified opportunities and closed business.
Required profile
- 6‑12 months of prospecting or lead‑generation experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent phone and email outreach abilities.
- Organizational and follow‑up skills with a team‑oriented mindset.
- College degree (preferred).
Required skills
- Experience with Salesforce.com (preferred).
