Running Community & Events Manager

About the role

The Running Community & Events Manager will own the development and execution of New Balance Canada’s Running Community Playbook. Reporting to the North American Community & Events team, you will shape the brand’s presence in the Canadian running ecosystem, driving authentic engagement with runners, clubs, ambassadors and athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the long‑term vision and strategy for running community and events in Canada, aligned with global and North American priorities.
• Own the annual strategic plan, event calendar and execution roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Build and nurture relationships with running ambassadors, clubs, community leaders and athletes to create multi‑year activation plans.
• Collaborate with sport marketing, PR, media, visual merchandising and digital teams to bring the playbook to life across retail and e‑commerce.
• Activate Team New Balance athletes in Canada, managing communications, product needs and wear‑testing programs.
• Represent New Balance at major Canadian running events and sponsored races.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in community building, event activation or brand engagement within the sports, footwear or retail sector.
• Strong track record of partnership development with ambassadors, athletes or community organisations.
• Ability to translate strategic vision into hands‑on execution and measurable business impact.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams and external partners.
