Retail Store Manager

About the role

The Retail Store Manager will lead daily operations of a busy furniture store, ensuring excellent customer service and achieving sales targets. This role combines staff leadership, inventory control, and market‑driven merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate, and organize daily store operations.
• Manage a team of 5‑10 employees, assigning duties and conducting performance reviews.
• Analyze market trends to determine product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Procure merchandise, set pricing policies, and monitor budgets, revenues, and expenses.
• Handle customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly.
• Oversee payroll administration and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of retail management experience, preferably in furniture sales.
• Experience supervising 5‑10 staff members.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
• Familiarity with an urban retail environment.
