Retail Sales Manager

About the role

The Retail Sales Manager will lead the daily operations of Garcha Bros Meat Shop & Poultry in Calgary, ensuring smooth store performance and excellent customer service. This role combines operational oversight with strategic planning to drive sales and maintain a welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control daily store operations, evaluating performance and implementing improvements.
• Plan, organize, and monitor daily activities, including staffing and duty assignments.
• Analyse market research and trends to forecast demand and adjust merchandise mix.
• Determine product assortment, pricing, and credit policies.
• Source, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost sales.
• Prepare budgets, track revenues and expenses, and report financial results.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, conducting performance reviews.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in retail sales or store management.
• Secondary school graduation certificate (high school).
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and sales reports.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Commitment to providing a welcoming environment for youth employees.
