Retail Representative (Part-Time) - Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and Northern Surrey

About the role

Mars is hiring a part-time Retail Representative to sell, distribute and merchandise Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across an assigned territory covering Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and the northern part of Surrey. The role works 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and maintain distribution of assigned products, present display programs to customers and suggest orders
• Present and sell booking sheets to stores and ensure products are stocked and displayed correctly with price tags
• Replenish display fixtures, including Mars Snacking racks, and work with customers to secure secondary display space
• Apply POS or marketing materials where applicable and rotate product on shelf and in the backroom
• Record customer information, surveys and tracking data in field sales software and manage territory routes and coverage
• Keep the DSM up to date on territory activity, maintain merchandising supplies and follow credit/cheque procedures
• Occasional travel for team, regional or national meetings (about 1-3 times per year)

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum)
• Valid Canadian driver's licence and ability to drive about 100 km daily; ability to obtain the required vehicle insurance coverage
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain repeated movement such as bending, reaching and pushing
• Sales experience is an asset
