Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead daily operations of a busy urban restaurant in Victoria, ensuring profitability, high service standards and compliance with health and liquor regulations. You will be responsible for budgeting, staff management, inventory control and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop the restaurant budget to maximise profit and control costs.
• Monitor revenues, labour costs and inventory to stay within budgetary targets.
• Recruit, schedule, supervise, train and evaluate a team of 11‑15 staff members.
• Adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods based on cost analysis.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage catering contracts.
• Ensure compliance with provincial liquor laws, health and safety regulations.
• Handle cash balancing, balance sheets and related financial reports.
• Address customer complaints and maintain high service standards.
