Restaurant Manager – Calgary

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our East Indian and Hakka Chinese cuisine restaurant in Calgary. You will be responsible for maintaining profitability, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze budgets and monitor revenues to control labour and food costs.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily restaurant operations.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and evaluate staff performance.
• Implement operational procedures, manage cash handling, and prepare balance sheets.
• Enforce liquor legislation, health and safety regulations, and inventory controls.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients for catering and supply arrangements.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and handle customer complaints.

Required profile

• College diploma or equivalent (1‑2 year program).
• 2‑3 years of experience in restaurant management.
• Strong oral communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, pressure‑filled environment, including night and weekend shifts.
