Executive Lounge Server (Fairmont Gold)

About the role

Fairmont Gold is a private, exclusive hotel within Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, offering personalized service to business executives and leisure travelers. As a server, you will be an ambassador of the dining experience, giving guests warm, personal attention and knowledge of the food and beverage offerings. The position is full-time, paid $24.09 per hour, with a start date in November.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of food and beverage service to guests in the Fairmont Gold department, keeping guest satisfaction high
• Greet guests, maximize seating during breakfast and maintain the exclusivity of the lounge
• Set up buffet and lounge tables for breakfast, canapés and other services
• Communicate with supervisors and other departments about special requests and guest preferences
• Promote the lounge and control the honour bar to generate revenue
• Wash and clean buffet items, keep the lounge and buffet areas clean, and perform regular deep cleaning
• Assist guests with local information and recommendations
• Work with the kitchen to serve the lounge menu and maintain food presentation standards

Required profile

• One year of experience in a buffet-service food and beverage environment
• Commitment to guest service and exceeding guest expectations
• Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of a shift
• Able to work holidays, weekends, overnight and other non-day shifts; applying indicates willingness to do so
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
