Restaurant Dishwasher / Utility (Ottawa Airport)

About the role

Join the team at SSP Canada’s airport restaurant and ensure a clean, safe environment for guests and staff. As a Dishwasher/Utility you will play a vital part in maintaining hygiene standards throughout the dining area and back‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, equipment, and dining areas.
• Scrape, wash, and load dishes, pots, and pans into the dishwasher, then store them properly.
• Remove waste to designated areas and reset tables between seatings.
• Assist guests with special requests and communicate needs to supervisors.
• Load and unload supply trucks, stock, date, rotate, and monitor food temperatures.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in a retail or food‑service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to obtain airport security clearance.

Required skills

• Food‑handler permit (as required by law).
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
