About the role
We are looking for a motivated Restaurant Assistant Manager to support daily operations at our Sushiwood location in Nelson, BC. You will work closely with the manager to ensure smooth service, staff performance and customer satisfaction. The role includes overseeing cash handling, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate daily operations and monitor revenues to control labour costs.
- Plan and organize daily operations, set staff schedules and supervise the team.
- Train staff, conduct performance reviews and address customer complaints.
- Balance cash, complete balance sheets and cash reports, and maintain inventory.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels.
- Lead and instruct individuals in daily tasks.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of experience in restaurant or food‑service management.
- Recognized employer under government programs.
