About the role

The University of British Columbia’s School of Nursing is seeking a Research Coordinator to manage and advance studies within the Thrive Lab. This role supports the Principal Investigator in overseeing research projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and translating findings for broader audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of research projects, from planning and execution to evaluation and reporting.
• Prepare, submit, and update ethics applications and monitor compliance with research ethics procedures.
• Manage data collection, entry, cleaning, and storage, ensuring data integrity.
• Develop knowledge translation materials, including manuscripts, reports, presentations, and plain‑language summaries for public use.
• Oversee financial administration of projects, including budget preparation and monitoring.
• Facilitate grant submissions and manage non‑research lab initiatives.
• Supervise junior research assistants, students, and volunteers.

Required profile

• University degree in a health‑related or research discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing research studies and regulatory submissions.
• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
