About the role
The Department of Biostatistics at McGill University seeks a Research Associate to lead advanced statistical research on administrative claims and electronic health record data. The role involves developing and evaluating analytical models, preparing scientific manuscripts, and presenting findings to both academic and professional audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research on statistical methods for health‑administrative and electronic health record data.
- Develop analytical models and run simulations to assess model properties.
- Review research findings, prepare reports, and author peer‑reviewed manuscripts.
- Disseminate results at scientific meetings and conferences.
- Contribute scientific content to grant applications.
- Represent the research team in internal and external presentations.
- Assist the principal investigator with research management tasks.
- Support supervision of graduate students.
Required profile
- PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Epidemiology.
- Minimum five years of research experience.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
- Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.

- Competitive hourly rate of $38.43 CAD.
- Full‑time (40 hours/week) fixed‑term contract (June – December 2026).
