Research Assistant – Sylvan Adams Sport Science Institute

About the role

The Research Assistant will help launch the Sylvan Adams Sport Science Institute by preparing and coordinating the documentation required for institute designation. This part‑time position supports both research and administrative activities to meet project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain documentation, data, and evidence for submissions and reporting.
• Assist in developing reports, presentations, and other materials that showcase the Institute’s research capacity, activities, and impact.
• Coordinate information from faculty, staff, and collaborators.
• Track project milestones and ensure deadlines are met.
• Participate in research and administrative tasks that support the Institute’s designation objectives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of sport science.
• Understanding of institutional research policies and procedures.
• Ability to work accurately with documentation and data.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

• Hourly salary of $32.15 (CAD).
• Part‑time schedule: 12 hours per week.
• Work location: Education Building, McGill University.
• Supervisor: Associate Professor.
• Employment covered by the AMURE collective agreement.
