Research Assistant

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Assistant to support an observational and epidemiological study within the Vancouver Stroke Program. Working from the Diamond Health Care Centre at Vancouver General Hospital, you will join an interdisciplinary team that advances stroke prevention research.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient charts and extract relevant data.
• Enter and maintain data in the study database with high accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate documentation and obtain authorising signatures from internal and external departments.
• Secure and renew institutional approvals required for research studies.
• Support day‑to‑day operations of the Stroke Prevention Clinic, interacting with clinicians, patients, families, and research staff.
