Research and Outreach Project Facilitator

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a part‑time Research and Outreach Project Facilitator to support the Vision Research Cluster within the Eye Care Centre. Working closely with Dr. Joanne Matsubara and the advisory committee, you will help translate research findings into practical outcomes and foster collaborations across the university and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate collaboration among investigators, trainees, staff, and external partners to advance research and training activities.
• Assist in developing research outputs such as grant proposals, manuscripts, and outreach materials.
• Identify funding opportunities and support strategic proposal development.
• Plan and oversee research‑related events, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of cluster initiatives.
• Participate in operational planning, progress reporting, and renewal processes.
• Develop experiential learning pathways for trainees by securing placements and engagement opportunities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to handle confidential information with accuracy.
