Remote Structural Engineer (Solar PV)

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Structural Engineer to support our solar‑energy projects. The role involves delivering structural and civil designs for commercial solar PV installations while collaborating with clients, site technicians, and Professional Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver structural and civil deliverables for solar PV projects.
• Liaise with clients and on‑site technicians to gather requirements and provide technical support.
• Work closely with Professional Engineers to complete analysis, review, and approval stages.
• Streamline internal processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Solar PV structural assessments.
• Strong English communication and client‑relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with Canadian (OBC, NBCC) and/or American (IBC, ASCE) building codes – preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Experience using structural analysis tools such as ETABS, RISA, and WoodWorks.
• Knowledge of Solar PV structural design principles.
