Relief Cleaner

About the role

Cleantech is looking for a motivated Relief Cleaner in Richmond, BC, to provide cleaning coverage for its regular cleaning staff when they are sick, on vacation or otherwise unavailable. The position suits someone who enjoys variety, can travel between different buildings and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day depending on the shift covered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cleaning coverage at different buildings and locations as needed.
• Replace regular cleaners who are sick, on vacation or otherwise unavailable.
• Perform daily cleaning and janitorial duties according to company standards and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, hallways, lobbies, washrooms and other assigned areas.
• Follow cleaning procedures, safety protocols and company policies.
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly and report shortages or maintenance issues.
• Communicate with supervisors and report site-related concerns.
• Travel between various locations based on operational needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Valid driver's license; access to a reliable personal vehicle is an asset, though a company vehicle may be available.
• Willingness and ability to travel to different locations throughout the workday.
• Flexibility to work at different buildings depending on staffing needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
