Registered Therapist

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for two Registered Therapists to join our clinical team on a full‑time, 1‑year contract basis. You will support individuals, couples, and families by delivering exceptional counselling and psychotherapeutic services, regardless of clients’ financial means.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical service to individuals, couples, and families using holistic, family‑focused, wellness, attachment, resilience, and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions for a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship issues.
• Facilitate psycho‑educational groups on topics like anxiety, relationships, intimate partner violence, and anger management.
• Provide immediate crisis support, including risk mitigation, safety planning, and connections to crisis services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client needs and contextual factors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a counselling‑related field or Master of Social Work with full registration status.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to balance multiple demands in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective problem‑solving abilities for emotionally charged situations.

Required skills

• Experience working in a community setting.
• Experience providing family counselling.
• Knowledge of domestic violence and trauma.
• Training or certification in additional clinical modalities (e.g., CBT, EMDR, SFBT).
• Understanding of attachment and trauma‑informed therapeutic interventions.
• Experience with anti‑oppressive practice approaches.
• Minimum two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably with children, youth, and families.
