Registered Practical Nurse – Lancaster Medical

About the role

Community Healthcaring Kitchener-Waterloo is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team at Lancaster Medical. The RPN will deliver patient‑centred primary care, supporting individuals and families across the Waterloo Region.

Key responsibilities

• Complete client histories and prepare examination rooms with required equipment.
• Triage patients by phone or in person and assess minor episodic illnesses following established protocols.
• Perform basic nursing procedures such as wound dressing, injections, and suture/clip removal.
• Provide immunizations, chronic disease support, and health education in line with College of Nurses of Ontario standards.
• Assist providers with prescription ordering, maintain accurate clinical notes, and ensure exam rooms are well stocked.
• Order and manage medical supplies, track pharmaceutical samples, and organize client education materials.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Practical Nurse in Ontario.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable personal vehicle and appropriate insurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record‑keeping and inventory control.
