Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Temporary Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a temporary part‑time Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the Operating Room, Endoscopy Suite, Day Surgery, and Recovery Room at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the OR, Endoscopy, Day Surgery, and PACU according to CNO standards and hospital policies.
• Rotate between scrub, circulating, endoscopy, day‑surgery, and post‑anesthetic care areas on a scheduled basis.
• Respond to on‑call requirements and stand‑by rotations as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to evidence‑based practice.

Required profile

• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 1‑3 years of OR experience; BScN is an asset.
• Post‑graduate peri‑operative nursing course.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS & PALS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Post‑anesthetic care certificate/course or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to assume leadership/charge roles and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check and pre‑employment health assessment required.
