Registered Nurse – ICU (Temporary Part-Time)

About the role

The Intensive Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a temporary part‑time Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care for cardiac, medical and surgical patients requiring close monitoring. This position starts as soon as possible and runs until November 4, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients using specialised ICU equipment.
• Operate mechanical ventilation and perform defibrillation when required.
• Administer coronary care, IV therapy and hemodynamic medications.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic health record.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Critical Care Certificate or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Recent experience (within five years) with mechanical ventilation, defibrillation and coronary care.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work 12‑hour day and night shifts, Monday to Sunday.
• Physical ability to lift, turn and transfer patients as required.
