Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy will join an inter‑professional team to deliver safe, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care. The RN will advocate for wellness, support ethical nursing practice, and continuously enhance competencies through learning and reflection.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic, culturally appropriate nursing care in line with College of Nurses of Ontario standards and SJHC policies.
• Assess patient needs, develop and adjust care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to coordinate seamless patient transitions.
• Document assessments, interventions, and education provided to patients and families.
• Participate in hospital committees, mentorship, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Support research projects and evidence‑based practice implementation.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Recent experience in gastrointestinal (GI) or endoscopy nursing.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Knowledge of GI/endoscopy procedures and patient care.
