Registered Nurse – Emergency (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join the Emergency Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital as a regular part‑time Registered Nurse. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care in a fast‑paced emergency setting, adhering to Ontario nursing standards and hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessment, and triage in the Emergency Department.
• Perform clinical procedures including IV therapy, venipuncture, and medication administration.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Minimum two years recent clinical experience in Emergency, ICU, or step‑down units.
• Ability to work all three shifts and weekends as scheduled.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• CTAS triage certification.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• TNCC, ETLS, ENPC, and NRP certification or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency in IV therapy and venipuncture.
• Delegated Controlled Acts certification within six months of hire.
