Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

About the role

The Bridlewood Child Learning Centre is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team in Kanata. You will work in a vibrant child‑care centre, creating nurturing learning experiences for preschool‑aged children.

Key responsibilities

• Assess each child's development and design individualized learning plans.
• Develop and implement programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
• Lead storytelling, song, and craft activities to engage children.
• Observe children for learning or behavioural concerns and prepare detailed reports for parents and supervisors.
• Guide children in daily routines such as eating, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepare snacks, arrange rooms for meals and rest periods, and maintain a safe, health‑focused environment.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other educators, trainees, and volunteers.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and licensing compliance.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience working in early childhood settings.
• Current certifications: Food allergy & anaphylaxis training, First Aid, CPR, and membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
• Completed vulnerable sector check and up‑to‑date immunisation records.
• Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to multitask.
