Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic (2 weeks fly in/out)

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join its Field Service team on a stable, permanent basis. The position follows a predictable 2‑week fly‑in/fly‑out rotation across Western Canada, offering paid travel time and a dedicated company vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and servicing of mining equipment and components.
• Plan and gather the correct tools and parts required for each task, following all work procedures.
• Commission new equipment, including pre‑delivery inspections and on‑site hot commissioning.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify and resolve common problems as first‑line support.
• Execute preventive and cost‑efficient repairs, and suggest improvements to customer processes.

Required profile

• Valid Red Seal certification for Heavy Duty Mechanics.
• Willingness to work a 2‑week fly‑in/fly‑out schedule with paid travel.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and high‑quality technical work.
