R&D Project Manager

About the role

Socomec Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of mission‑critical electrical equipment for data centers. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to closure, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects using financial data, scheduling, risk management, and quality, cost, and time objectives.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams across sites, covering technical, services, industrialization, commercial launch, qualification, and documentation work packages.
• Structure projects (WBS, work packages, responsibilities) and keep project information up to date.
• Monitor deliverable availability and maturity to meet milestone deadlines.
• Enforce project management rules and resolve resource or decision conflicts with stakeholders.
• Provide accurate project indicators, escalate issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Present project progress to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Identify and propose process improvements based on lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in electrical equipment engineering project management.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to structure, recover, and deliver complex projects.

Required skills

• Expert‑level knowledge of Microsoft Project Online (configuration, shared resources, baselines, auditing).
• Strong competency in change control and risk management practices.
• Mastery of scope definition, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and critical path analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Syspro) and Power BI for decision support.
