Quality Assurance Supervisor – Afternoon Shift

About the role

The Quality Assurance Supervisor leads the QA frontline team on the afternoon shift at New Flyer's Winnipeg vehicle production plant. You will drive quality‑at‑source, manage containment actions, and support continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training and guidance to QA inspectors and frontline staff.
• Monitor current quality issues, containment activities and improvement initiatives; report status in production meetings.
• Coordinate communication between internal customers, inspectors and suppliers.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and process‑improvement projects.
• Identify, document and resolve quality concerns, including scrap, rework and vendor returns.
• Oversee the NCP reject report process and vehicle final‑delivery documentation.
• Maintain calibration of measuring instruments and manage corrective‑action reporting.

Required profile

• Experience supervising QA staff in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to analyze situations, allocate resources and drive corrective actions.
• Effective communication skills with production and field service teams.
