Purchasing Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our materials team in a fast‑paced automotive upfitting environment. The role offers exposure to the full purchasing cycle, supporting both domestic and international procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, manage deliveries and verify transactions for domestic and international requests.
• Issue RFQs/RFPs and select suppliers based on cost, quality and delivery criteria.
• Maintain supplier relationships and act as the primary liaison for procurement issues.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Liaison, QA team and internal departments to resolve shipment discrepancies and non‑conformances.
• Authorize payments by reviewing invoices and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory data in the ERP system, including lead times, pricing and supplier details.
• Support engineering and production teams to resolve inventory challenges.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Understanding of demand‑pull scheduling practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
