Project Superintendent – Deep Foundations

About the role

The Project Superintendent will lead site operations for the Orleans Island Bridge deep‑foundation project in Quebec City. Working a rotating night shift, you will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate technical and logistical requirements for new job sites with the Project/Site Manager.
• Lead site establishment, preparation, and daily workforce briefings.
• Supervise Site Supervisors, Foremen, and crews to follow approved plans, drawings, and company procedures.
• Develop work programs, sequence operations, and monitor progress, providing daily reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with BAUER health & safety policies and maintain equipment suitability.
• Coordinate material orders, control usage, and inspect materials for specification compliance.
• Manage subcontractor performance and liaise with suppliers, clients, engineers, and site representatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years experience as a Site Superintendent or Senior Site Supervisor in deep‑foundations construction.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site best practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• French language proficiency is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with rotary drill rigs.
• Large‑diameter caisson installation.
• Slurry/bentonite drilling techniques.
• Interpretation of technical construction drawings.
