Project Manager – Utility Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead field‑based delivery of utility infrastructure projects, including distribution rebuilds, substation construction and transmission upgrades. The role oversees the full project lifecycle from early contractor involvement through commissioning and closeout, ensuring safe, on‑time and cost‑effective execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery from early contractor involvement (ECI) through construction completion and closeout.
• Coordinate daily planning with crews, subcontractors and site leadership, managing mobilization, permitting, material and equipment scheduling.
• Monitor schedule performance, develop recovery plans and align field execution with overall project strategy.
• Synchronise engineering, procurement and construction activities, tracking deliverables, material status and design constraints.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cost reporting; support change management, scope validation and commercial risk mitigation.
• Enforce safety programs, conduct field audits, promote hazard identification and ensure environmental compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison for clients, Indigenous partners, regulators and internal stakeholders, leading meetings and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale utility or infrastructure projects in an EPC environment.
• Strong understanding of project planning, construction execution and commercial management.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work autonomously on site and make decisions that balance scope, schedule, quality and cost.
