Project Manager II – Shoring & Foundations

About the role

Hall Shoring and Foundations Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager II to lead deep‑foundation and shoring projects across Alberta. Reporting to senior project management, you will coordinate field teams, manage contracts and procurement, and ensure quality and safety on active construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control civil foundation and shoring projects from start‑up to close‑out in line with schedules, specifications and budgets.
• Develop and monitor construction work plans, schedules and milestones.
• Prepare project budget estimates and track cost performance using HCSS and related tools.
• Manage change processes, including change notices, design revisions, RFIs and RFQs.
• Review contracts and ensure all correspondence complies with contractual requirements.
• Oversee procurement, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and issue purchase orders.
• Control purchase of materials such as rebar, concrete mixes, casings and drilling fluids.
• Approve subcontractor progress applications, payment certificates and invoices.
• Lead the project quality‑control program and ensure safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering civil foundation and shoring projects.
• Working knowledge of deep‑foundation systems and construction project management.
• Ability to interpret contracts and manage change documentation.
• Strong procurement and cost‑control capabilities.

Required skills

• HCSS cost‑reporting software.
• Deep foundation systems (CFA piling, Full Displacement Piles, Cased Secant Piling, drilled caissons).
• Construction scheduling and budgeting.
