Project Coordinator

About the role

FCC Canada is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) project, a major subway extension in the Greater Toronto area. The role will bridge design and construction, ensuring that architectural intent and technical standards are maintained throughout the delivery phase.

Key responsibilities

• Review preliminary concepts and lead the transition from schematic design to detailed development, preserving interior and exterior finishes and intricate detailing.
• Produce drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit, prioritising interior junctions, material transitions, client standards, building codes and budget compliance.
• Act as the technical liaison for the client, providing clear project updates, managing aesthetic and structural risks, and explaining architectural methodologies.
• Collaborate with the design team to conduct deep‑dive reviews of drawings, offer constructability input, resolve complex site conditions and address quality or compliance gaps before they impact the finish.
• Partner with specialised trades to define precise scopes of work and develop integrated schedules.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating construction or infrastructure projects, preferably within subway or civil‑works environments.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, interior and exterior finishes, and building‑code requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, design teams and trade partners.
