Project Coordinator – Global Functions Technology

About the role

The Global Functions Technology (GFT) team within RBC’s Technology and Operations division is looking for a Project Coordinator to support finance‑focused technology initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners, providing financial tracking, reporting, and coordination across multiple projects and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage portfolio‑level financial tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Coordinate project and program status reports, monitoring milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor invoice processing, ensuring compliance with contracts and budgets.
• Support project managers with financial data, reporting templates, and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Maintain project management tools and financial systems, guaranteeing data integrity.
• Facilitate team meetings and financial review sessions, capturing notes and tracking actions.
• Identify budget risks early, escalating issues with recommended solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and coordination processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or financial operations.
• Proven ability to manage or track project/program financials and budgets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards).
• Experience with project management tools such as MIS, Planview, Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence.
