Project Associate (EIT) – Building Restoration

About the role

As a Project Associate / Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) on Sense Engineering’s Vancouver Building Restoration Consulting team, you will support the delivery of restoration projects while gaining hands‑on experience across all project phases. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, contractors and consultants to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building evaluations, site reviews and investigations, preparing evaluation reports and construction documents.
• Coordinate project activities, liaise with clients, contractors and consultants, and contribute to project proposals.
• Represent Sense Engineering at client meetings and networking events, maintaining professional relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Civil, Materials, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Co‑op or internship experience in engineering consulting is a strong asset.
• Eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.

• Base salary range of $65,000–$80,000 CAD, with profit‑sharing bonuses increasing total compensation to $70,000–$90,000 CAD.
