Program & Advising Coordinator

About the role

The School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia seeks a Program & Advising Coordinator to support over 400 undergraduate and 150 graduate students. Working within Student Services, you will manage advising, registration, and program coordination for B.A.Sc, MEng, M.A.Sc, and Ph.D. streams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and registration support for all biomedical engineering programs.
• Coordinate timetabling, graduation checks, and adjudication processes.
• Manage student team and chapter relations, exchange pre‑articulation, and undergraduate option admissions.
• Organize and support student‑focused events and initiatives.
• Offer shadow coverage for other CUPE positions and assist the Academic Program Manager with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Experience in student services or academic advising within a higher‑education setting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong organizational and project‑execution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
