Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads a unionized team of hourly employees at AGI‑Westeel’s Winnipeg plant. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role ensures production targets are met while maintaining a strong safety culture and smooth order‑to‑delivery flow.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce all safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Conduct safety, quality and LEAN audits and investigations.
• Lead, coach and develop unionized staff to achieve production, quality and safety goals.
• Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet operational requirements.
• Issue work orders, monitor their completion and provide status updates.
• Assist engineering in troubleshooting production issues.
• Support purchasing, material planning and collaborate with other departments.
• Review and approve time‑cards, vacation schedules and assist with disciplinary actions.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, mechanical or industrial environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and decision‑making abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of corporate and industry standards and processes.
