About the role
The Production Operator – Batcher prepares paint blends and stages products for customer orders at Sherwin‑Williams' Montreal facility. The role supports blenders during spray‑outs, drawdowns, and order fulfillment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and prepare materials and tools required for each blending batch.
- Blend custom paint orders and create mixes according to specifications.
- Match colors following facility color guidelines.
- Operate tinting, mixing, and industrial material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, loss‑prevention, and security policies.
- Follow quality service standards and adhere to all procedures, rules, and regulations.
Required profile
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in Canadian French.
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb frequently and up to 100 lb occasionally.
- Minimum 1 year experience mixing or blending raw materials in an industrial batch process (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience using material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc. (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience monitoring raw‑material or finished‑goods quality (preferred).
- Prior experience operating tinting or color‑matching equipment (preferred).
Required skills
- Tinting and color‑matching equipment operation.
- Industrial mixing and blending equipment.
- Material‑handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, order picker, vacu‑hoist, drum dolly, conveyor belt).
- Gauge and machinery‑indicator monitoring.
- Quality inspection of raw materials and finished products.
What we offer
- Compensation ranging from $17.82 to $23.11 per hour.
- Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
