Production Manager - Collision Repair Centre

About the role

Aviva Canada is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its Cambridge, Ontario operation at the Aviva AutoCare Centre, a new collision repair facility powered by Solus. The role shapes the performance, culture and customer experience of a state-of-the-art repair centre, and is described as a newly created position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily production activities, manage repair workflow, schedules, parts procurement and resource allocation, and remove bottlenecks affecting cycle times and productivity
• Maintain quality control processes so repairs meet standards, OEM procedures and regulations, and complete them on time
• Recruit, lead, coach and develop technicians and support staff, including performance reviews, development planning and succession planning
• Support a seamless customer experience, resolve customer concerns and escalate issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve service delivery
• Share accountability for the centre's financial performance, monitor key metrics, identify cost-efficiency improvements and manage inventory and resources
• Promote a safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative, environmental and company requirements, and keep equipment, tools and facilities maintained

Required profile

• At least 5 years of management experience in the collision repair industry
• Proven track record leading production, operations or collision repair teams
• Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, workflow management, quality standards and repair methodologies
• Post-secondary education in Business, Automotive Management or a related field is an asset
• Valid driver's licence

Required skills

• Proficiency in Body Shop Connect and Mitchell repair centre systems is highly desirable
• Leadership, coaching, business and financial acumen, and strong communication and problem-solving skills
