Procurement Specialist – Industrial

About the role

Pomerleau is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to independently manage tendering and contracting for critical or high‑leverage packages in the industrial and construction sectors. You will analyze project needs, prepare tender documents, conduct commercial analyses, negotiate terms, and ensure contracts are finalized.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements, technical specifications, and market conditions to identify qualified suppliers.
• Prepare and issue tender documents, lead pre‑bid and pre‑award meetings, and manage end‑to‑end tender processes.
• Conduct commercial analysis of bids, recommend selections, and identify contractual risks.
• Negotiate contractual terms with suppliers and subcontractors and finalize contractual documents.
• Consolidate procurement progress, participate in monitoring meetings, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Assess contractual and commercial risks, contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices, and ensure smooth handover to contract administration.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of procurement experience in construction or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or specialized procurement training.
• Knowledge of project management is an asset.
