Procurement Lead – Toronto

About the role

Avery Dennison is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive centralized sourcing and procurement activities for its Toronto operations. You will partner with business units and functional teams to manage the full procurement lifecycle, from demand identification to supplier performance management, ensuring cost‑effective and reliable supply of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Toronto procurement efforts, collaborating with business units to define needs and deliver solutions.
• Develop and execute short‑, mid‑, and long‑term category strategies and goals.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including demand management, supplier identification, sourcing, contract negotiation, delivery planning, purchase execution, and performance monitoring.
• Identify and realize cost‑saving and cost‑reduction opportunities across categories.
• Oversee procurement systems and ensure best‑practice processes are applied.
• Manage and develop a team covering sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, and supplier management.
• Analyze spend data, benchmark suppliers, and drive consolidation where appropriate.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain a robust supplier pool.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement or sourcing functions, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess spend, cost drivers, and market dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement category strategies and achieve cost‑saving targets.
