Probationary Full-Time Educational Assistant

About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a compassionate Educational Assistant to join Fr Leduc School in Leduc, Alberta, starting August 31, 2026. The role focuses on supporting students in an inclusive learning environment through individualized and small‑group assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning support.
• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group assistance that promotes student growth and success.
• Support students with exceptional abilities and/or medical needs.
• Assist in classroom activities and help maintain a safe, inclusive atmosphere.

Required profile

• Compassionate and dedicated attitude toward student development.
• Experience working with students who have exceptional abilities or medical needs (preferred).
• Experience in an elementary school setting is an asset.
• Willingness to undergo recent criminal, vulnerable sector, and Alberta Children’s Intervention record checks.
• Catholic affiliation is considered an asset but not mandatory.
