About the role
3M is seeking a Pro Paint Sales Specialist to join its field sales team in the Greater Toronto Area. You will represent a portfolio of 3M paint‑related products, work directly with retailers, distributors and end‑users, and help drive product adoption across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Implement leadership‑driven strategies for new product introductions, promotional programs and territory training.
- Sell 3M abrasives, tapes, masking systems and safety products to professional paint contractors, distributors and home‑improvement trades.
- Support retailers and end‑users with solutions that improve job‑site efficiency and provide product training.
- Deliver product presentations in‑person, via phone or email and demonstrate product usage and value.
- Lead calls with professional paint contractors, manage key stakeholder relationships and be on‑call to address customer needs.
- Maintain a company vehicle and comply with pre‑employment and ongoing driver‑history reviews.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) completed and verified prior to start.
- Current, valid driver’s licence.
- Minimum three (3) years of territory sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Strong presentation, data‑analytics and negotiation abilities.
- Proven experience translating customer needs into creative solutions.
- Self‑motivated, able to prioritize multiple customers and accountable for meeting targets.
