Private Tax Senior Manager

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Private Tax Senior Manager in Calgary for its Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) - Private Clients practice. The role advises private companies, entrepreneurs and family businesses on their local tax affairs, reviews personal trust and corporate income tax returns and other tax reporting forms, and acts as a strategic consultant on tax obligations. It follows the departure of a valued team member.

Key responsibilities

• Turn unstructured problems into clear plans and anticipate stakeholder needs to propose proactive solutions
• Deliver high-quality client service and operational efficiency on tax consulting and compliance engagements
• Mentor, coach, develop and retain junior tax professionals
• Lead across diverse teams and industries, and build trust with teams, clients and stakeholders
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Required profile

• Canadian CPA (or CA/other relevant designation) or a Master's in Tax; completion of Levels I-III of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset
• Expertise in corporate tax, ideally focused on private corporations
• Experience in public accounting is an asset
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and work in a hybrid environment

The salary range is $128,900 - $178,900, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location; eligible employees may also join variable incentive pay programs.
