Private Home Child Care Provider

About the role

We are looking for a caring individual to provide child care in a private home in West Vancouver. The role involves nurturing children aged 4 to 12, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional well‑being while supporting the family’s daily routine.

Key responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care.
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
• Discipline children according to parents’ preferred methods.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Organize games, outings and other age‑appropriate activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Supervise rest periods and bedtime routines.
• Transport children to school, appointments and extracurricular activities.
• Promote a safe, healthy environment throughout the home.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1 – 7 months of child‑care experience.
• Criminal record check and references required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience and honesty.
• Ability to work flexible mornings and days, and use public transportation.
