Family Enrichment Worker - Family Preservation Program

About the role

Catholic Social Services is recruiting full-time and part-time (40 hours/week and 24/32 hours/week) Family Enrichment Workers for its new Family Preservation program in Saskatchewan. The role serves families in the Lloydminster, North Battleford, Saskatoon, Humbolt, Kindersley and Rosetown areas, with a rotational 24/7 flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and an on-call schedule with additional on-call reimbursement. Travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide intensive short-term interventions through direct and indirect service hours, including crisis intervention, parenting education, skill building and advocacy.
• Support families in developing a support system, with experience in crisis intervention, addictions, mental health, cultural connections, in-home supports, parenting and life skills, and community information and referrals.
• Coordinate support services, including initial assessments, service planning and follow-up meetings to verify family needs are met.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Human Services (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' experience working with families, high-risk behaviours, addictions and mental health.
• Experience providing crisis intervention.
• Availability to work rotational evenings and weekends and to join the on-call team.
• Valid First Aid and a Vulnerable Sector Check from the local RCMP or city police detachment; Alberta residents also need a Child Intervention Record Check.
• Clear and current drivers abstract, a valid Class 5 licence and proof of insurance covering $2 million liability for a vehicle used to transport clients.
